About Kristen aka Head Hen

I’m a mom juggling 3 girls, a husband, a company and her sanity. Not necessarily in Kristen Daukas Four Hens and a Roosterthat order. I think I got Mom of the year. Once. I have the paper award to prove it.

Why Four Hens and a Rooster? Well, simply because there are 4 females and 1 male in this house. And on most days, we give him reason to crow.

I used to be a MommyBlogger but now I’m more of a TeenMom Blogger… it’s like going from binkies to werewolves.

I’m an avid consumer and love to talk about things that I like and things that I don’t. I’m not ashamed to admit that I will hit the streets to right wrongs as I am VERY passionate about customer service. I sit on the board of several organizations such as Professional Women on Winston-Salem, The Queens Foundation and The Joyful Life. I am the co-founder of Linking Winston-Salem, Social Media Club Piedmont Triad and founded Broads Who Tweet for fun and networking.

As if I didn’t have enough irons in the fire, I recently launched a new pet project – Ten to Twenty Parenting. As I was going through all the different sites and blogger communities out there, I felt there was a large void in blogger communities that had a true focus on those of us raising kids in the tween and teen age bracket. So, me being me, I decided to do something about it. Ten to Twenty is just now growing and my hope and goal is that it will become a rich resource to those parenting that age group. Join us, won’t you?

While the majority of the things posted here are based on my personal life and the comings and goings of my crazy family, I am a serious and dedicated social media marketing professional. You can find me in plenty of places and no, I do not have multiple personalities.
